Sporadic Rant:
Heh. Longer layoff between strips than I expected. It's a long story, but I'll summarize in a nice concise fashion. Jump back to Finals week when I last updated: My older brother comes home for a month. That's cool. Su Hoay leaves for Malaysia for a month. That's not cool. I land a large web design job that'll last me until August. That's cool. A freak lightning storm over the weekend completely fries my hard drive. That's not cool. I elect to get back in shape. That's cool. I fracture my ankle while playing basketball and am on crutches for 6-8 weeks. That's not cool.
I was just about ready to give up on the strip after my computer got flash fried by lightning, but I started to restore the little information I had backed up. When my ankle went, though, that quick 3 minute walk to the campus computer center's scanner became an agonizing 15 minutes of wrenching pain. I have two strips ready to go for tomorrow and Thursday, but I won't be able to update until later in the day. Don't expect any more timely midnight updates until this damn ankle is restored to its former glory.
Thanks to Tim and Andy for pressuring me to continue the work on this strip. I think they enjoy the cheap notoriety. :) Also, thanks to all the readers who wrote in with attitudes ranging from cajoling:
Please, I need more of the creamy goodness that is the BBoCS. Granted, your girlfriends cute and all (she makes up for the tie), but now that finals are over (?) please present the world with another high-geek factor low-brow strip!
to vaguely threatening:
please make that picture of your girlfriend go away and draw more comics.
Anyways, thanks to everyone who wrote in. I sincerely appreciate it.
Today's bit o' artwork is a commissioned piece I did for Tim, except I didn't get paid for it, so I guess it's not really commissioned. He's planning on getting another tattoo (he has some Chinese characters on his right ankle) and he asked me for a cool Asian-style dragon. Voila.
