"Ultimate Indignity"

Sporadic Rant:
Early update today, and it's not because I want Alison's comic to have less viewing time. Really. I'm going out with Tim and Matt Congdon tonight, and there will be the all-important Pacers-Lakers game on later. Since I don't expect myself to have much time or energy left when all is said and done, we have an incredibly early update. I usually can't do this, anyway, because the comics almost always get done at the last minute. :)

You may have noticed the new link on the main page entitled "BBoCS Store." If you click that mighty link, you will find yourself transported to the magical and mystical world of CafePress.com; and therein lies the salvation of mankind. That's right, it's official BBoCS merchandise! For those of you with reservations about giving credit card numbers to strange internet companies, I'll try to put you at ease. The majority of web cartoonists use CafePress.com, and I've found their services and goods to be quite reliable. If you don't have any reservations whatsoever about giving away your credit card number over the internet, please contact me via e-mail ASAP. ;) Note: The HotZP store went down for half a day, but it's now fully functional. Place your order today!error.

This splendoriffic (as Don King might say) double-length comic marks the end of When Girls Go Wild. Yes, it was a cheesy dream sequence all along. One of the small hints was that the girls were drawn with distinct eyebrows, sort of like how Evil Kirk had extra facial hair. This was actually a drawing mistake I made and noticed before I had finalized the dialogue, so I decided to make it into a rather silly running gag. No eyebrows next week. As promised, the weekend comic featured mighty bits of shading and soft light effects, though I'll probably scale back on them as I overdid the soft light for this strip. Instead of basking in the warm glow of the TV, it looks as if they're being bombarded with high level radiation. Oh well. And by the way, the last panel isn't meant to be sacrilegious or anything, I just think it sounded funny. So I have a warped sense of humor, sue me.

I'd like to thank everyone for reading the comic and spreading the good word, as there was a total of 438 hits for Thursday, the highest since I stopped updating in May. It also looks like it's on pace to do the same for Friday, so far as I can tell. If we can break 500 hits consistently, then I'll be pretty happy with the daily turnout. There'll definitely be some kind of update for Sunday, but I'll be pretty darn busy frolicking around in pure joy as Su Hoay returns to me Saturday evening after an excruciating month of separation, so no guarantees as to what kind of update it might actually be. I may just preview the t-shirt and mouse pad designs. We'll see.
