Sporadic Rant:
I was far too optimistic when I thought I would get
today's Flash animation
(144 k) done by Friday at noon. First off, I didn't work on this at all on Friday. My family and I took a trip to nearby Canada to enjoy a leisurely stroll and lunch in Niagra-on-the-Lake. Lake Ontario, that is. We had excellent meals at a posh hotel named The Queen's Landing. I had a $5 iced tea myself. ("It's a good iced tea, but I'm not sure it's a $5 iced tea.") Anyways, I only started seriously working on it Saturday afternoon. Then Su Hoay and I took a break to go bowling with some friends. So, other fun things seriously competed with this cartoon.
I also spent a lot more time on it than I had originally planned. It turned out rather lengthy and actually kind of funny. I went into it without any clear direction, but the plot started to arise after I spent some time looking for potential sound effects and music. Thanks to amazing sites Loopasonic and WAV Central for providing all the aural ammunition for this webisodic installment of BBoCS. I can't believe I just used "webisodic" in a sentence. Oh well, I'm sure you'll all get over it eventually. It turned out rather sick, probably too much influence from Joe Cartoon and Ian Hothersall. Oh, just click here and play it, anyway. I'll leave this up until Wednesday or so, when it will be taken down in lieu of regular comics. When HotZP gets rolling again, I'll probably quit the regular comic and instead do biweekly Flash episodes instead. We'll see if that holds true a month from now or not.
