Sporadic Rant:
Contest time! Check out this link for more details. One day to go, send in those last minute entries! Deadline: Sept. 21, 2000.
Bit of an experiment today: Today's comic is very reliant on the drawings to convey the humor. Most of the BBoCS strips are very chatty, but this one is understated for once. "Food coma" is a term of my older brother's devising, describing the near comatose state you reach after eating more than your fill. If you hated today's comic (and even if you liked it), you should check out this incredible piece of fan art. It's by none other than Ryan Smith of Funny Farm (Yay!), one of my favorite comics. It, along with several other submissions, can be found in the newly built Fan Art page. Give it a look-see.
It seems that Monday's comic confused a few of the readers out there. Basically, it was meant as a female version of this strip. I'm firmly convinced that many women check out men, they're just much more circumspect. Men can be very obvious when ogling the opposite sex, but a woman can size a man up in a seemingly cursory glance. I've caught girls checking people (and myself) out before, so don't try to convince me that it isn't done; your words will fall on deaf ears. :) Also, those are tennis rackets being carried on our backs. Andy's teaching me how to play tennis and giving me a few much-needed lessons in humility. The beautiful and talented Mrs. Campos didn't mind the cameo at all and even kindly gave me a link at CRFH, firmly entrenching her place as one of the coolest people ever.
The new UBB forums should be installed this Friday, or Monday at the latest. It all depends on when I get enough free time to sit down and get everything done. Before I bid you adieu, here's a whimsical piece of fan art I did for Avalon. It turned out rather well, in my opinion, so I'm pleased to share it with you all. :)
