CONTEST TIME! You know it, you love it! READ THE RULES! This silly notice will remain here until the contest deadline on July 15.
Okay, so I start my new job today. It's pretty basic database management stuff with a bit of webdesign thrown in on the side whenever I have free time. I'm sure my eyes will begin glazing over a few hours into the actual job; but it's hard to pass up a campus gig (a 5 minute walk) for 10 bucks an hour (which is really pretty decent for a student salary). And the timing couldn't have been better. I contemplated looking for a job last Monday, received a phone call about an old resume that Wednesday, and then got the job after my interview on Friday. That's what I call convenient timing. It'll even end in 7-8 weeks, which is great timing in terms of the Fall semester starting up. I can set my hours to whenever I want, so long as I put in a certain number of hours each week. I couldn't have asked for something better: A nice boring job without much pressure that doesn't detract from all the fun I'm going to attempt to have this summer.
Also, I've received a lot of queries regarding my EverQuest identity, so I figure I'd just post it here. My friends and I play on the Xev server, and my primary character is a female High Elf Paladin named Pollyharina. You may feel free to laugh at my character now, but keep in mind I made her before I knew anything at all about the game. :P Happy 3D MUDding, y'all.
Convention Watch! It's official! I'll be going to lovely San Diego for Comic-Con International from July 19-22. Yay! If I don't see you there, maybe we'll bump into each other at Otakon in August.
Let me know if you'll be in San Diego or Baltimore for either convention in the BBoCS Forum.
