"Five Past"

CONTEST TIME! You know it, you love it! READ THE RULES! This silly notice will remain here until the contest deadline on July 15.

So I picked up the Diablo II expansion Lord of Destruction from the local Electronics Boutique and I may as well have just flushed 35 dollars directly into the toilet. Mark this occasion as the first time that a Blizzard product has colored me unimpressed. It's not a bad expansion per se, but it's certainly not what I've come to expect from Blizzard. Maybe I've just completely exhausted my inner demon-killing urges but I played through the first quest of the expansion and failed to have ANY fun whatsoever. I'm sure there are a great many people out there who'll rally around the Blizzard flag and defend the D2 expansion, but I'm just not one of those people. There's only so much repetition of basically the exact same thing that I can take. Yes, Blizzard did add a lot of new content; but I didn't really think that there was anything too groundbreaking, just more of the same ol', same ol'. After I beat the Baldur's Gate II expansion (sometime before The Lazarus, of course), I may go back and try one of the two new character classes for D2. I'm sure that'll be a lot more fun. Maybe I'm just sick of fighting guys named Baal/Bhaal who're the Lords of Murder/Destruction. :P Maybe I just need to lay off the crack pipe.

Convention Watch! It's official! I'll be going to lovely San Diego for Comic-Con International from July 19-22. Yay! If I don't see you there, maybe we'll bump into each other at Otakon in August.

Tell Nick to lay off the crack pipe in the BBoCS Forum.
