"My Nipples"

CONTEST TIME! You know it, you love it! READ THE RULES! This silly notice will remain here until the contest deadline on July 15.

I've had this comic bouncing around in my head for awhile now, ever since Andy bought an SUV (specifically, a Ford Explorer) a month or so ago. The only obstacle to finishing this comic is that I have this tremendous inability to draw anything remotely automotive. I forced myself to o'ercome this handicap for today's strip and I think I did so reasonably well.

I did an awful lot of gaming this weekend, whether it was Lord of Destruction (which I beat in 3 hours with my Sorceress), EverQuest, ChuChu Rocket, or Instinct. I'm also starting to build a new computer, but I'm buying all the components piecemeal. I grabbed a GeForce 3 and a SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Platinum this weekend. Hooray for spending money I don't have yet! :) I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the old box, but it'll be a respectable gaming machine with my old P3 500, 192 MB RAM, a Voodoo 5500, and SoundBlaster Live!

Despite all the gaming I've done over the weekend, I haven't really been doing too much game-playing during the week itself. I'm going to have to eat a bit of crow first, though, before I divulge on what I've been spending all my free time. My views on internet dating are pretty well-known, but I'm going to have to look like a bit of a hypocrite now because I've allowed myself to fall into the traps of an internet relationship. While I'm not going to say that I'm strictly "taken," I also cannot truthfully say that I am single, either. We met in IRC first, then the conversations moved to instant messages, and finally the phone. For those of you familiar with the forum, you've no doubt guessed her identity already, so I won't repeat it here. To give a bit of a hint, she's also been the subject of one of the polls and has been featured in several nameless cameos. I know Andy will give me a hard time as soon as he reads this, but I'm beyond caring at this point. Normally, I'd be the first to decry any sort of burgeoning romantic relationship held over a long distance, let alone started over the internet, but right now I find myself very much at odds with my previous attitude. This is something new to both of us, so we're proceeding carefully, but we're also not holding anything back. We are definitely meeting later on this summer; in fact, we'll be bumping into each other multiple times. This may be foolish to announce on the page for all to see, but I feel confident in that things will end quite happily. I'm not rushing in blindly, expecting perfection of any sort; all I want is a shot at happiness, and I've found quite a bit recently, moreso than I would have ever expected. Now Laz, Anj, and Kris can exhale as they don't need to be keeping secrets anymore. ;)

Convention Watch! It's official! I'll be going to lovely San Diego for Comic-Con International from July 19-22. Yay! If I don't see you there, maybe we'll bump into each other at Otakon in August.
